Your instagram hashtag is...

Creativity runs through your veins. You see the world through multi colored glasses that present new perspectives and birth new ideas everywhere you go.
You’re talented in a myriad of ways and you love to creatively express yourself, now you’re asking yourself "can I make a living as a creative doing what I love?" The answer is obviously YES x 1000000000. I’ve done it, and so have thousands of others.

This first realization that indeed it is possible, is one of the best feelings— hold on to it. Keep believing. I’m not saying this will be the easiest thing you’ve ever done, but it’ll be so worthwhile.

My goal is to play a role in shortening your learning curve and inspire you to weave your wonders out in the world and never look back.

Below you’ll find actionable strategies that will help you build the foundation your brand needs.

Your message is on its way.

“What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.”

The reason you do what you do. Your raise d’etre. The driving force behind every successful brand on Instagram and beyond is having a purpose, mission, vision, and clear brand values.

This is how you build a brand that has more in common with the Parthenon than a 3 bedroom condo in a Florida suburb. The latter might get you some comfort and sunshine for awhile, but eventually it’ll crumble and be forever forgotten. When you have a why that drives you, you have a foundation that will make you unforgettable.

If you’re used to working for someone else, I’ll warn you— working for yourself is much different, and it’s challenging. To find your why you must be completely honest with yourself.

Get cozy, brew your brew of choice and sit down with a notebook to ask yourself questions like…

What’s the driving force behind my desire to build a creative brand?
What do I want my brand to represent in the world?
What do I believe in so deeply that I could commit my life’s work to it?
Why am I driven to do this work? Is it to satisfy something in my own soul or is there some other reason?

The result will be a whole lot more clarity surrounding the reasons why you want to birth a creative venture. Keep coming back to this exercise and stay connected to the purpose driving you forward.

Once you know your why, it’s time to discover your how— how will you communicate your vision with the people who will ultimately form your audience, customers, and clients?

If you can show people the purpose behind your passion, you’ll be far more successful than the brands that hide behind their work. To do this, you need to find your tribe. You probably already have an idea of who those people are but the more specific you can get the better. Write down everything you know about them, what characteristics do they share? When you write your captions, write like you’re speaking to those people and don’t try to please everyone.

In the beginning of your creative branding journey it’s tempting to vacillate back and forth between different passions. Choosing one thing to focus on is hard when you’re multipassionate, but in the beginning, it’s necessary.

Before you add more to your repertoire you need to master the business and branding of the primary profit producer and purpose of your brand.

One of my favorite ways to do this involves a Japanese concept called Ikigai which roughly translated means, a reason for being. When doing what you love and what you’re good at meet what the world needs and what they’re willing to pay you for, you’ve found your one thing.

Hello to you and your big creative heart.

I’m Beth, and I’ve created a successful business doing what I adore most. I’m here to teach you how to fearlessly do the same— because when you deconstruct the elements of every successful brand, the commonalities are impossible to ignore.

Behind every glossy brand you swoon over on Insta, there are people just like you and I. People who are perfectly imperfect and who have learned to use that to their advantage.

There is overwhelm, fear of not being good enough, saying the wrong thing, and trolls that feed on creating drama. At the same time, there is a real sense of community and connection that fuels purpose and possibility.

There is the glorious fulfillment that comes with building a brand that resonates with who you are and who you want to become and what gifts you want to give the world.

I hope you can taste it. The ingredients are all laid out for you here to put together in a way that only you can. Let’s get cooking.
